The dataset contains images of the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) or Halyomorpha Halys (HH). It includes two different types of datasets. The first version of the dataset contains two sub-datasets. The first one contains images with a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels captured from the surface of sticky traps that caught insects, which may consist of Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs or other insect species. The second one comprises images of the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug alongside other insect species that could be used for BMSB classification. The second version of the dataset includes three main sub-datasets named 'Day', 'Night', and 'All', which respectively contain images captured at night, daytime, and a combination of night and daytime. The images have a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels and were annotated in two ways: with bounding boxes and masks. Kargar, A., Zorbas, D., Gaffney, M., O’Flynn, B., & Tedesco, S. (2025).
