Higher education institutions are expected to interact with the society and promote the societal impact of research. To acknowledge the level of effort in achieving societal impact, novel indicators that consider the diverse encounters of science and society must be discovered. We suggest two paths institutional CRIS datasets could be curated to compose the final hybrid indicator. Route A is for societal activities of researchers such as presentations and consulting. Route B is for popularised publications for laypersons and the public. Hybrid indicator is a set derived from each disciplines’ numerical values.UEF GraspOS pilot
