D11.13 Dissemination and Communication Plan

Abstract

This deliverable aims to present the detailed planning and scheduling of the dissemination and communication (D&C) activities of the BIOVALUE consortium as part of Work Package 11- Project Management. BIOVALUE is a Research and Innovation Action (RIA) project that has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement Number 101000499. The BIOVALUE project will provide strategies for an increased use of underutilized genetically diverse crops and look for options to introduce crop diversity into value chains. For this, BIOVALUE will develop a dynamic and modular agent-based simulation tool with the aim to analyse the link among biodiversity, the agri-food value chain, the environment, consumer’s preferences, and health. Dissemination and Communication activities play a vital role within the BIOVLAUE project. The aim is to maximize the impact of the project´s results and achievements on the whole agri-food industry in a targeted way (dissemination) as well as to raise awareness and provide easy-to – understand insights and conclusions resulting from the BIOVALUE researchactivities to the wider public (communication). This deliverable outlines the dissemination and communication strategy of the BIOVALUE consortium and aims to serve as a strategic document to which partners may refer to in order to implement successfully their individual and joint D&C activities. The main aims of D&C within BIOVALUE can be summarized as follows: ✓ Highlight the importance of agrobiodiversity ✓ Promote solutions to include agrobiodiversity into farming and breeding practices ✓ Promote novel dishes and processed food prepared using the underutilized genetically diverse crops ✓ Promote the new labelling scheme based on biodiverse and sustainable agricultural products ✓ Explain in an easy way the links between biodiversity and agriculture in regard to sustainable farming and breeding practices
