Open Science in Iraq faces numerous challenges due to a lack of accessible information and resources, severely hampering scientific progress and collaboration. The scarcity of open research data and publications limits researchers' ability to build on existing knowledge and collaborate internationally, slowing innovation and reducing transparency. Promoting Open Science practices will significantly benefit Iraq by enhancing research quality, fostering international collaborations, and supporting the education of future scientists. These practices will democratize knowledge, creating a more inclusive and equitable research environment.
