El autor explora los villancicos y composiciones de Eslava, mostrando su conexión emocional con la ciudad de Sevilla y su inquebrantable amor por la música. Además de trazar un perfil biográfico detallado, el libro busca divulgar la figura de Eslava entre un público más amplio, incluyendo aficionados a la historia y la música, y ofrece una actualización de la monografía de José Luis Ansorena sobre el compositor.
