This code enables the integration of custom equations of state (EoSs) into the stellar evolution code MESA (Modules for Experiments in Stellar Astrophysics). For a quickstart guide and detailed implementation instructions, refer to the README.md file. The repository includes two Fortran files: custom_eos.f90: Contains the core code for implementing a custom equation of state. run_star_extras.f90: Provides example implementations of s% eos_rq % other_eos_frac and s% eos_rq % other_eos_component, which link your EoS to MESA. It also includes the call to the initialization routine eos_init_custom_eos(). For resolved issues and experimental features, check the GitHub repository, particularly the development branch.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
