Abstract

Albedo files 1. File Naming Convention: albedo-{m}-{s}.nc m: Represents the month of the data. s: Represents the LULC (Land Use/Land cover) scheme. It can take one of the following values: LCCS1,LCCS2,LCCS3,IGBP 2. Albedo Variables: Albedo variables follow the naming convention: albedo-{w}-{b}-{t}, where: w: Represents the type of albedo, which can be: WSA: White-sky albedo (diffuse incoming solar radiation). BSA: Black-sky albedo (direct beam solar radiation). b: Represents the spectral band: shortwave: Refers to the shortwave band. nir: Refers to the near-infrared (NIR) band. vis: Refers to the visible light band. t: Represents LULC type of LULC scheme s. The albedo is stored in a 20*180*360 matrix, representing years (2001-2020), latitude, and longitude. 3. Area Variables: Area variables follow the naming convention: area-{t}, where: t: which can be: Represents LULC type of LULC scheme s, or, land:land area grid:grid area The area is stored in a 20*180*360 matrix, representing years (2001-2020), latitude, and longitude. 4. Quality Variables: Variables name: qa condition: 1--grids have data 2--all ocean 4--SZA>85 and no data Areas of LULC conversion files 1. File Naming Convention: confuse_matrix_{y}_{s}.pth y: Represents the year of the data. s: Represents the LULC scheme. It can take one of the following values: LCCS1,LCCS2,LCCS3,IGBP 2. Array data Data is a 4D matrix: (m,lat,lon,t1,t2) The area of LULC type t1 to t2 conversion, from 2001-m to y-m , within the 1-degree grid at (lat, lon). Size:12*180*360*num-t*num-t, where: m: Represents months. lat: Latitude. lon: Longitude. t1/t2: LULC types for each LULC scheme: LCCS1: landtype 1-15 + snow. LCCS2: landtype 1-10 + snow. LCCS3: landtype 1-9 + snow. IGBP: landtype 1-16 + snow. LULC types of LULC scheme: IGBP: landtype1:Evergreen Needleleaf Forests landtype2:Permanent Snow (no data) landtype3:Evergreen Broadleaf Forests landtype4:Deciduous Needleleaf Forests landtype5:Deciduous Broadleaf Forests landtype6:Mixed Forests landtype7:CLosed Shrublands landtype8:Open Shrublands landtype9:Woody Savannas landtype10:Savannas landtype11:Grasslands landtype12:Permanent Wetlands landtype13:Croplands landtype14:Urban landtype15:Cropland/Natural Vegetation Mosaics landtype16:Barren snow:Snow LCCS1: landtype1:Barren landtype2:Permanent Snow (no data) landtype3:Evergreen Needleleaf Forests landtype4:Evergreen Broadleaf Forests landtype5:Deciduous Needleleaf Forests landtype6:Deciduous Broadleaf Forests landtype7:Mixed Broadleaf/Needleleaf Forests landtype8:Mixed Broadleaf Evergreen/Deciduous Forests landtype9:Open Forests landtype10:Sparse Forests landtype11:Dense Herbaceous landtype12:Sparse Herbaceous landtype13:Dense Shrublands landtype14:Shrubland/Grassland Mosaics landtype15:Sparse Shrublands snow:Snow LCCS2: landtype1:Barren landtype2:Permanent Snow (no data) landtype3:Urban landtype4:Dense Forests landtype5:Open Forests landtype6:Forest/Cropland Mosaics landtype7:Natural Herbaceous landtype8:Natural Herbaceous/Cropland Mosaics landtype9:Herbaceous Croplands landtype10:Shrublands snow:Snow LCCS3: landtype1:Barren landtype2:Permanent Snow (no data) landtype3:Dense Forests landtype4:Open Forests landtype5:Woody Wetlands landtype6:Grasslands landtype7:Shrublands landtype8:Herbaceous Wetlands landtype9:Tundra snow:Snow
