During the development of a completely new version of the Archaeological Map of the Czech Republic, it was decided to use Fedora as the basis for the documentation and data repository stored within this national repository (https://digiarchiv.aiscr.cz/). In summer 2024, the new solution was launched in a production environment. This paper will present the architecture of the system and the rationale behind the various design decisions. It also recapitulates the migration process and experience with Fedora's behaviour and performance in real-world use.
