
The article is devoted to the study of the role of Abu Hafs Kabir in the spread of the Hanafi madhhab in Transoxiana. The historical contexts and cultural features of the region are considered, as well as the influence of Abu Hafs as an outstanding scientist and mentor. His teachings and methods that contributed to the popularization of Hanafism among the local population are analyzed. The article also discusses the social and political factors that contributed to the spread of this madhhab in Transoxiana, and its impact on subsequent generations of Islamic thinkers. The purpose of the study is to identify the importance of Abu Hafs Kabir in the formation of the religious identity of the region and his contribution to the development of Islamic law.Abu Hafs Kabir (Abu Hafs al-Kabir alBukhari), one of the outstanding Islamic scholars of the IX century, played a significant role in the spread of the Hanafi maskhab in the territory of Transoxiana (modern Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan). He became the founder of the Hanafi law school in the region, which had a profound impact on the Muslim community in Central Asia.
