Abstract

Louis Jentzsch war ein Fabrikbesitzer und Färbermeister in der Stadt Halle (Saale), der sich über 50 Jahre lang als Stadtverordneter für die Entwicklung der Stadt und das städtische Sparkassenwesen engagierte. Im Umfeld seiner Familie entstanden die Stiftung Adelsheidsruh bzw. die Jentzsche Kinderbewahranstalt, aus der die erste städtische Krippe hervorging.

Louis Jentzsch was a factory owner and master dyer in the city of Halle (Saale) who was committed to the development of the city and the municipal savings bank for over 50 years as a city councillor. The Adelsheidsruh Foundation and the Jentzsche Kinderbewahranstalt, from which the first municipal crèche emerged, were established by his family.
