EDITORIAL: A COMPLEXIDADE E A EVOLUÇÃO DOS DATA CENTERS NO CENÁRIO ATUAL

Abstract

Os data centers são, sem dúvida, a espinha dorsal da era digital. À medida que o mundo se torna cada vez mais conectado e dependente de tecnologias como a computação em nuvem, inteligência artificial (IA), internet das coisas (IoT) e big data, os data centers surgem como infraestruturas críticas para suportar essa imensa demanda de processamento e armazenamento de dados. No entanto, o funcionamento eficiente desses centros exige atenção a uma série de aspectos, desde o consumo energético até as tecnologias de resfriamento e sustentabilidade. Neste editorial, destacamos temas que envolvem os data centers, destacando os avanços, desafios e soluções inovadoras discutidos em artigos recentes e nos apresentados nesta edição. O cenário atual dos data centers é dinâmico e desafiador, exigindo soluções criativas para lidar com o crescente consumo de energia e as demandas de eficiência. Desde a implementação de novos métodos de resfriamento até a otimização de infraestruturas, os avanços tecnológicos têm moldado o futuro dessa indústria essencial para o mundo digital. A busca por maior sustentabilidade, aliada ao uso de tecnologias inovadoras e eficientes, não só ajudará a reduzir os custos operacionais, mas também contribuirá para a criação de um setor mais verde e preparado para os desafios da era digital.
