Abstract

— Se realizó un diagnóstico para identificar las variables que se consideraron para diseñar un programa de capacitaciónpara las comunidades de Tabasco (Ismate y Chilapilla 2da sección, Acachapan y Colmena 4ta sección y Aztlán 5ta secciónPalomillal) para aprovechamiento del pejelagarto (Atractosteus tropicus). La metodología utilizada fue tres visitas a lascomunidades: Ismate y Chilapilla 2da sección, Aztlán 5ta sección Palomillal y Acachapan y Colmena 4ta sección. Se aplicaronentrevistas abiertas a los habitantes de cada comunidad con experiencia en la pesca del pejelagarto, grupos focales con 12investigadores especialistas en campos relacionados con el aprovechamiento de esta especie y observación participante paraconocer las costumbres y actividades las comunidades en relación con este recurso natural. Esto permitió recopilar informaciónpara el diseño del programa de capacitación para el aprovechamiento sostenible de la especie en estas comunidades. Lascomunidades están interesadas en aprender y aprovechar este recurso de forma sostenible y comercializarlo, lo que puede generarles ingresos y mejorar su calidad de vida. 

— A diagnosis was carried out to identify the variables that were considered to design a training programfor the communities of Tabasco (Ismate and Chilapilla 2nd section, Acachapan and Colmena 4th section and Aztlán 5th sectionPalomillal) for the use of the pejelagarto (Atractosteus tropicus). The methodology used was three visits to thecommunities: Ismate and Chilapilla 2nd section, Aztlán 5th section Palomillal and Acachapan and Colmena 4th section. They appliedopen interviews with the inhabitants of each community with experience in silver gar fishing, focus groups with 12specialist researchers in fields related to the use of this species and participant observation tolearn about the customs and activities of the communities in relation to this natural resource. This allowed information to be collectedfor the design of the training program for the sustainable use of the species in these communities. TheCommunities are interested in learning and taking advantage of this resource in a sustainable way and commercializing it, which can generateincome and improve their quality of life.
