Provided herein are two R scripts used to conduct the analyses outlined in "Coherence of global hydroclimate classification systems" (Hydrology and Earth System Sciences, 2021) as well as netcdf files of the two climate classification systems created in this study: Water-Energy Clustering (WEC) and Evapotranspiration Area-optimizing (ETA), both at a 0.5 degree spatial resolution. Update (2024): An error was found and corrected regarding the classification of WEC zones. Two of the zones were incorrectly classified in our original publication. This does not, however, impact the original delineation of zone boundaries. To rectify this issue, we have provided: 1) An updated netcdf file here entitled, "WEC15_corrected_2024.nc" 2) The corresponding R code that contains the algorithm for said correction 3) The updated Table S2 from our publication to reflect the correct mean hydroclimate behaviors for each zone
