Abstract

This repository contains the code associated with the article Energy, environment, and economy implications of electrifying minibus taxis in African cities: Authors: Jérémy Dumoulin, Alejandro Pena-Bello, Noémie Jeannin, Christophe Ballif & Nicolas Wyrsch Published in Scientific Reports, 16, Article number: 10661 (2026) LINK: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-026-45790-w The dataset includes the commented source code used to conduct model simulations in the paper as well as the necessary data to ensure the complete reproducibility of the analyses. For full methodological details, please refer to the published article. If you use this code and dataset, please cite the article. ---Since the submission of this work, this codebase has evolved into a standalone, open-source, and fully documented python tool for bus and minibus electrification planning based on GTFS data: GTFS4EV.
