
Los helmintos gastrointestinales en murciélagos son uno de los grupos menos estudiados en el país. En el presente trabajo se identificaron los helmintos en el murciélago Macrotus waterhousii (Gray, 1843) en 2 refugiosde selva baja: una cueva natural y una mina abandonada en el municipio de Huetamo, Michoacán, México. A partir del análisis helmintológico realizado, se registraron 4 taxones: 1 ejemplar de la familia Capillariidae, la presencia de Mediorhynchus sp., que representa un nuevo registro para el murciélago, además de Vampirolepis macroti, especie encontrada por primera vez en México y de Torrestrongylus tetradorsalis que se reporta por segunda ocasión desde su descripción original.
