Abstract

El Fondo Editorial de la Academia de Historia del Estado Zulia tiene como misión promover publicaciones sobre Historia local, regional y venezolana, enfocándose en investigaciones que aporten conocimientos inéditos o enriquezcan la producción científica. Este proyecto editorial busca generar obras de alta calidad e innovación, desarrolladas por historiadores con el objetivo de satisfacer las necesidades de acceso al conocimiento y ofrecer valiosos aportes a la comunidad. "Cines de mis calles" es uno de estos esfuerzos, un libro que explora la rica historia cinematográfica de Maracaibo, ciudad profundamente influenciada por el cine desde finales del siglo XIX. Norka Valladares, su autora, recorre su infancia y la historia de la ciudad, destacando cómo las salas de cine fueron epicentros culturales y sociales que forjaron la identidad de la comunidad. La obra detalla la evolución del cine en Maracaibo, desde las primeras proyecciones en el Teatro Baralt en 1897 hasta la década de 1950, reflejando el impacto del cine en la vida cotidiana y la memoria colectiva de los marabinos. Este libro es fruto del esfuerzo conjunto entre la Academia de Historia del Estado Zulia y Ediciones Clío.
