D2.1 Technical Architechture Report

Abstract

This document outlines the current technical architecture of the SUBMERSE system. It covers the principles used to develop the architecture, underlying technologies such as Distributed Accoustic Sensors (DAS) and State of Polarisation (SOP) which acquire data from fibre optic cables, and the supporting services to store, process and make available the data.

Keywords

NREN, time and frequency, SUBMERSE, fibre sensing, fibre optic, DAS, Engineering and technology, Distributed research infrastructure, e-infrastructure, FOS: Engineering and technology, SOP
