Creating AR-based Projects for Education

Abstract

The Guide - AR-based Projects (DST) in EFL is designed to help educators create Augmented Reality (AR) projects for Education and English language learning. It outlines objectives such as understanding AR concepts, integrating multimedia files, and creating AR projects that enhance language acquisition. The guide emphasizes collaborative learning and concludes with a presentation of the AR lesson to peers, accompanied by a video demonstration. The lesson plan includes choosing a relevant topic, selecting objects and vocabulary, and deciding on multimedia materials to use as overlays for each AR trigger. Educators are encouraged to gather all necessary content, create the AR-based lesson, and produce a video showcasing their project. The assessment focuses on originality, lesson planning, technical design, and the diversity of activities and multimedia used. Additionally, the guide provides resources for free or freemium AR tools like Roar, Zapworks, Onirix, and Artivive, along with links to tutorials and sample projects. This comprehensive approach ensures that educators have the necessary tools and knowledge to create engaging and educational AR experiences for their students.
