The traditional plant vitex negundo L. family Verbenaceae posses different activity such as analgesic activity,antioxidant activity, neuroprotective activity, anticonvulsant activity, etc. It has been proved that various parts of plant such asleafs, fruits, seeds etc. provide essential nutrients compounds to human diet. It is the only plant that asingle plant species finduse for treatment of a large spectrum of human health in traditional as well as modern medicine. In this paper already reportedmedicinal uses and pharmacological activities of plant has been reviewed.
