During the systematic revision of the Coniacian and Santonian corals of the Gosau Group, the genus Aulosmilia was profoundly investigated (Löser et al. 2019) and much Upper Cretaceous coral type material was studied. The present material can now clearly be assigned to Aulosmilia inconstans. Other occurrences. Upper Cenomanian to Santonian of the Western Tethys (France), Coniacian to Santonian of the Central Tethys (Austria), Santonian to middle Campanian of the Western Tethys (Spain, France).
