A RGB images dataset of grapevine inflorescences was collected throughout three grapevine phenological stages, according to the extended Biologische Bundesanstalt, Bundessortenamt und CHemische Industrie (BBCH) scale: (i) BBCH Code 53 - Inflorescences clearly visible; (ii) BBCH Code 55 - Inflorescences swelling, flowers closely pressed together; and (iii) BBCH Code 57 - Inflorescences fully developed; flowers separating. The images were acquired in an experimental vineyard of the Agrarian Campus of Vairão, of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (41°24’12.2 "N 2°10’26.5 "W), using a dual camera Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 smartphone with a resolution of 8000x6000 pixels. The dataset includes images of the following national and international grapevine varieties: . This vineyard includes a selection of national - Touriga Nacional (VIVC-12594), Touriga Franca (VIVC-12593), Tinta Roriz (VIVC-12350), Alvarinho (VIVC-15689), Malvasia Fina (VIVC-715), Gouveio (VIVC-12953), Viosinho (VIVC-13109), Cercial (VIVC-16437), Azal Tinto (VIVC-13100), Tinto Cão (VIVC-17360), Síria (VIVC-2742), Tinta Barroca (VIVC-12462), Trajadura (VIVC-12629) - and international - Chardonnay (VIVC-2455), Syrah (VIVC-11748), Cabernet Sauvignon (VIVC-1929), Pinot Noir (VIVC-9279), Merlot (VIVC-7657).This new version of the dataset is divided into two subsets of images and their respective YOLO format annotations: (i) images that capture an inflorescence, taken from close range, with annotations of inflorescences and flowers ("single_inflorescence" folder); and (ii) images captured from a greater distance, covering a larger area of the canopy and one or more inflorescences, with annotations of inflorescences ("close_range" folder).
