Phryssonotus chilensis

Abstract

Phryssonotus chilensis (Silvestri, 1948) Synxenus chilensis Silvestri 1948b: 304-305. Phryssonotus chilensis Nguyen Duy-Jacquemin y Geoffroy 2003: 101; Vadell 2010: 86; Short y Vahtera 2017: 7; Short et al. 2020: 308, Fig. 8, Tab. 1. Distribución. Región de ValparaÍso: El Chorrillo (loc. tipo); Parque Nacional La Campana (Silvestri 1948b; Short y Vahtera 2017) (Fig. 1). Comentarios. Silvestri (1948b) solo mencionó vagamente la localidad tipo como “Un cerro cerca de Chorrillo, Chile central”. Existen en Chile varios lugares denominados como “Chorrillo” o “Chorrillos”, pero la localidad más probable es “El Chorrillo”cerca de San Felipe en la Región de ValparaÍso, debido a que coincide con la zona central de Chile y es cercana al Parque Nacional La Campana, lugar donde se recolectaron especÍmenes de esta misma especie depositados en el “Zoological Museum of Moscow University”. Estos ejemplares fueron analizados filogenéticamente por Short y Vahtera (2017) y utilizados como grupo externo en un análisis filogenético de los Polyxenidae de Europa realizado por Short et al. (2020).
