Abstract

RESUMO Os anodos galvânicos de proteção catódica, também conhecidos como anodos galvashield, são utilizados para a proteção contra a corrosão de armaduras de estruturas de concreto, durante os serviços de reabilitação ou durante a construção de obras novas, em especial as influenciadas por cloretos. O conhecimento das principais características e aplicações dos anodos é muito importante para que o projetista possa definir a melhor solução para cada situação em particular, com eficiência e baixo custo. A finalidade do presente trabalho é justamente mostrar um resumo prático e objetivo dos principais tipos e modelos disponíveis e suas respectivas aplicações. ABSTRACT Cathodic protection galvanic anodes, also known as galvashield anodes, are used to protect against corrosion of reinforcement of concrete structures, during rehabilitation services or during the construction of new works, especially those influenced by the action of chlorides. The knowledge of the main characteristics and applications of the anodes is very important so that the designer can define the best solution for each particular situation, efficiently and cost-effectively. The purpose of this paper is precisely to show a practical and objective summary of the main types and models available and their respective applications.
