CZECH AND GERMAN IMMIGRATION TO VOLYN (the second half of XIX − the early XX centuries): COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS Abstract. The article reveals the nature of the immigration of Germans and Czechs in the Volyn Governorate of Russia, analyzes the factors and causes of colonization. The dynamics of the number of immigrants, relations with the authorities and the local population are monitored, the peculiarities of founding of settlement and management are determined.
