The data was generated within the research project Constructing AcTive CitizensHip with European Youth: Policies, Practices, Challenges and Solutions (CATHC-EyoU) funded by European Union, Horizon 2020 Programme. The dataset provides the basis for an offshoot article from work package 6 (“Representations of EU and youth active EU citizenship in educational contexts”), published in Journal of Social Science Education (http://www.jsse.org/). Ten Swedish textbooks for social studies, are examined in terms of content, attention to conceptual understanding and analytical training.
