Impacto del entrenamiento de resistencia en la salud cardiovascular de atletas jóvenes

Abstract

Este estudio cuantitativo examina el impacto del entrenamiento de resistencia en la salud cardiovascular de atletas jóvenes de 12 a 18 años. Se analizaron datos de 150 atletas, comparando variables cardiovasculares como la frecuencia cardíaca en reposo, la presión arterial y la capacidad aeróbica (VO2 máx.) antes y después de un programa de entrenamiento de resistencia de 12 semanas. Los resultados muestran mejoras significativas en todas las variables medidas en el grupo experimental, indicando una mayor eficiencia cardiovascular y una mejor salud general. La disminución de la frecuencia cardíaca en reposo y la presión arterial, junto con el aumento en el VO2 máx., sugieren que el entrenamiento de resistencia es efectivo no solo para mejorar el rendimiento deportivo, sino también para reducir el riesgo de enfermedades cardiovasculares en el futuro. Además, se destaca la importancia de personalizar los programas de entrenamiento y de monitorear regularmente las variables cardiovasculares para maximizar los beneficios individuales. Este estudio proporciona una base sólida para la implementación de programas de entrenamiento de resistencia en jóvenes atletas y subraya la necesidad de educación y apoyo continuo para optimizar la salud y el rendimiento.
