Description of Nitratireductor aquibiodomus KH 7a Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, non-pigmented, and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, raised, entire, and pale yellow-colored after 3 days of incubation on MA at 30°C. Positive for nitrate reduction and esculin hydrolysis, but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, gelatinase, and β -galactosidase in the API 20NE test. D- Glucose, D-mannose, N -acetylglucosamine, D-maltose, and trisodium citrate are utilized but L-arabinose, Dmannitol, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, and phenylacetic acid are not utilized. Strain KH7a (= NIBRBAC000498412) was isolated from an algal sample collected at Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea.
