Elicitores para mejorar la producción vegetal: vacunas vegetales

Abstract

Los elicitores o inductores son moléculas clave en la respuesta de las plantas a su entorno y tienen un potencial significativo en la agricultura. Estas moléculas pueden ser de origen biótico o abiótico, capaces de desencadenar respuestas defensivas en las plantas, fortaleciendo su resistencia a patógenos y estimulando su crecimiento. Su uso puede reducir la dependencia de agroquímicos y fomentar prácticas agrícolas sostenibles. Identificar elicitores efectivos y comprender su formulación es fundamental para maximizar su eficacia en la agricultura. La aplicación de elicitores en la agricultura tiene el potencial de mejorar la producción vegetal y garantizar la seguridad alimentaria, por lo que los avances tecnológicos y de investigación en este campo pueden impulsar aún más su uso y contribuir a abordar los desafíos actuales en la agricultura como la crisis climática y la falta de legislación, además de la presión de los patógenos y los efectos del cambio climático.
