The workshop at the European Civil Protection Forum on June 5th in Brussels explored the integration of disaster risk reduction (DRR), climate change adaptation (CCA), and nature-based solutions to enhance EU Disaster Resilience Goals (DRG). Daniel Sempere-Torres, Silvia Torresan and Laura Indriliunaite, Policy Coordinator, DG ECHO - European Commission, presented on aligning DRR with climate change risk assessment and adaptation, and integrating climate risks within the MYRIAD-EU project. Participants discussed in small groups the five DRGs: anticipation, preparation, alert, response, and security, generating ideas to complement consultations in MYRIAD-EU and CLIMAAX pilot regions.
