The specific epithet derives from Laftrache (which in Mapudungun, Mapuche Language, means “ little people ”) also known as Caftranche, a mythical being present in Mapuche mythology. Feminine grammatical gender. Diagnosis. This monotypic genus is characterized by its small size, yellow-orange coloration, a prominent ectal-distal process on the pedipalp femora, a low ocularium, and distinct male genital morphology. The male genitalia exhibits an arc-shaped ventral plate and a pair of parallel projections within the capsula interna. These distinguishing features differentiate it from other genera within the family Triaenonychidae. Type species. Laftrachia robin sp. nov. Included species. Laftrachia robin sp. nov. Distribution.
