Abstract

FIGURE 3 Phylogeny reconstruction based on the MrBayes tree topology of the TE approach (fig. 2), with ancestral character state reconstructions on the internal nodes (probabilities are shown as pie charts). Colours indicate various host associations, both for the species as well as the ancestral character states. Zenopontonia rex (Kemp, 1922) is represented as a symbiont with two kinds of host associations (holothurians and nudibranchs), but was only classified as an echinoderm associate in the analysis. Species of which only morphological data was analysed are indicated with an asterisk next to the species names (*).
