Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación se fundamentó en analizar la formación en valores desde una perspectiva personal y colectiva en estudiantes de la carrera de Trabajo Social de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí. El estudio se direccionó bajo el enfoque positivista, mediante un tipo de investigación cuantitativa, donde se utilizó el método descriptivo, analítico y estadístico. Para ello, se diseñó un cuestionario, estructurado con diecisiete (17) preguntas, el cual estuvo dirigido a los estudiantes de la Carrera de Trabajo Social extrayendo una muestra no probabilística intencional seleccionando a ochenta (80) estudiantes, diez (10) de cada nivel, hasta el octavo nivel. De acuerdo a los resultados obtenidos, se concluye que la población encuestada considera que para su desarrollo individual y colectivo es indispensable mantener una formación en valores, puesto que, permite el crecimiento personal y profesional del estudiante, siendo necesario incidir, que la educación en valores es un componente fundamental en la formación integral de los estudiantes universitarios; más allá de adquirir conocimientos específicos en sus disciplinas académicas, es esencial que los estudiantes desarrollen habilidades sociales, éticas y morales que los preparen para enfrentar los desafíos de la vida profesional y personal.
