Abstract

Las adicciones en la adolescencia pueden estar relacionadas con factores genéticos, ambientales, psicológicos y sociales. El fácil acceso a sustancias adictivas, la presión de grupo, problemas familiares, estrés emocional y falta de habilidades para afrontar situaciones difíciles son factores que pueden contribuir al desarrollo de adicciones. El objetivo de este estudio consiste en analizar la adicción en adolescentes, en particular sus causas, consecuencias y medidas de prevención. Para el logro de este objetivo se utilizó la metodología de revisión bibliográfica. En los resultados se evidenció que las sustancias adictivas más comunes en adolescentes son: alcohol, tabaco, marihuana, cocaína, entre otras; los factores de riesgo son por problemas familiares, estrés, curiosidad, depresión; de ahí la importancia de implementar medidas de prevención para disminuir el consumo de sustancias adictivas en adolescentes, que promuevan estilos de vida saludables en esta etapa crucial del desarrollo evolutivo.
