Abstract

Iuati spinithorax sp. nov. (Fig. 2) Etimologia: The specific name refers to the spine of the thorax. Tegumento preto: cabeça, antenas, protórax, élitros, ápice dos fêmures e base das tíbias; tegumento avermelhado: fêmures, tíbias (menos a base), metasterno e urosternitos. Esternos mesotorácicos e metepisternos preto-avermelhados. Fronte finamente pontuada; a pontuação mais adensada para os lados. Vértice com carena lisa e bifurcada em pequena extensão entre os tubérculos anteníferos; densamente pontuado. Escapo com pontuação fina e esparsa. Lado inferior dos flagelômeros com pelos amarelados mais concentrados no ápice. Fêmures pontuados principalmente perto da extremidade. Urosternitos finamente pontuados. Dimensões em mm: Comprimento total, 35,7; comprimento do protórax, 7,0; maior largura do protórax, 9,8; comprimento do élitro, 25,2; largura umeral, 11,0. Material-tipo: Holótipo fêmea, BRASIL, Rondônia: Porto Velho (Parque Ecológico), 09.XI.2008, sem nome do coletor, armadilha Malaise (MZUSP).
