Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this article is to propose a management control system based on the Balanced Scorecard (BSC). The latter can be applied to construction enterprises involved in road construction processes. This is a feasible project, supported by descriptive field research. The study population is made up of the group of enterprises that executed road works for the Mayor's Office of the Iribarren municipality of Lara State in the year 2021. Two questionnaires were applied for the collection of information: the first one, gathers information on the administrative processes of the enterprise; and the second one, gathers information on the managerial processes. The proposal of the CMI base model contemplates generic strategic objectives and indicates the profile of the management indicators from four perspectives, as well as the sequential phases necessary for the understanding and application of the management system. Key words: Balanced Scorecard, management, indicators, construction companies
