Abstract

Melagria nigra (Gravenhorst, 1802) Capturamos cinco exemplares desta espécie durante uma das nossas visitas a Portugal em 1998 numa quinta do noroeste de Portugal em lugar húmido e debaixo de detritos vegetais em decomposiÇão. A espécie apresenta uma côr acastanhada com o abdómen castanho-escuro a preto e com patas amarelo-acastanhadas. O pronoto apresenta uma pequena depressão na parte central e posterior. Comprimento 1.8-2.0 mm. Material estudado: BEIRA ALTA: Guarda; Pinhel; Souropires (Quinta do Sr. Alfredo), 10-VIII-1998, 5 ex. Género MYRMECOCEPHALUS MacLay, 1871: O género Myrmecocephalus MacLeay, 1873 está representado, até ao presente momento para Espanha, pela especie M. concinna (Erichson, 1840). É uma especie de distribuiÇão cosmopolita e esta referênciada de Espanha de Alicante (Gamarra & Outerelo, 2005). Para Portugal é reassinalada de novo, mas incorporada no género Myrmecocephalus MacLeay.
