Acceso a vivienda digna y sus desafíos en la agenda del desarrollo: El caso de México

Abstract

El propósito de este trabajo fue analizar las actuales condiciones de acceso a vivienda digna, su producción y los desafíos que ello entraña para las familias mexicanas. La investigación se justifica como indispensable en la perspectiva de la Agenda del Desarrollo de la Organización de Naciones Unidas y del gobierno mexicano. La hipótesis es que la producción de vivienda ha sido un reto en el cual los gobiernos se han quedado cortos en su consecución. Los métodos empleados son de tipo cualitativo y cuantitativo respectivamente. Los datos proceden de las siguientes fuentes: Instituto del Fondo Nacional de la Vivienda para los Trabajadores, la Organización de la Naciones Unidas- Hábitat, el Fondo de la Vivienda del Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado la Organización para la Cooperación y Desarrollo Económico 2006-2022, la Secretaría de Desarrollo Agrario, Territorial y Urbano 2020, además de la Encuesta Nacional de Vivienda de 2020. Los resultados muestran que, aunque hay una mayor producción de vivienda, especialmente de interés social, el acceso a la misma se ve limitada por factores de índole económico y social. Se concluye en la necesidad estratégica que gobiernos, empresas y sociedad civil exploren alternativas para viviendas dignas.
