F. Bassett, Coll.”, and a red label was added “ LECTOTYPE. Callirhytis ceropteroides Bassett. Design. G. Melika 998”; one paralectotype female (here designated) “ Callirhytis ceropteroides B., 1555 I. ”, red “Type”, “Ct.”, and a red label was added “ PARALECTOTYPE. Callirhytis ceropteroides Bassett. Design. G. Melika 998”. In the USNM. Other material examined – 4 females with “ Eumayria ceropteroides (Bass) det. Weld, 1924.”, “Collection, C. F. Baker ”, “Loan 2553”, “ Coll. C. F. Baker ”, “Cana 2393”, “ Coll. C. F. Baker ”, “Cana 2416.”, “ Coll. C. F. Baker,” “Louni 2553.”, and “ Coll. C. F. Baker ”, “Louni 2264.”; and 2 females with “ Bassettia ceropteroides (Bass), det. Weld, 1943.”, “Collection ASHMEAD ”, “ Ft. Pendelton. 7.7, W. Va ”. In the USNM. Biology – Only the asexual generation is known which induces stem galls on Q. velutina LAM. Adults emerge in July (BASSETT 1900). Distribution – USA: Connecticut (Crescent Beach, Branford; Waterbury) (BASSETT 1900), West Virginia (Ft. Pendelton).
