Abstract

This package contains the supplementary materials for the paper "One Step at a Time: Combining LLMs and Static Analysis to Generate Next-Step Hints for Programming Tasks". All the prompts, as well as the detailed descriptions of heuristics used to control the code hint, can be found in Section 2. The description of the course that was used for validation, as well as all the validation criteria, can be found in Section 3.
