
DISSEMINATION EVENT ON CO2 CAPTURE, TRANSPORT, USE AND STORAGE (CCUS) - Tallinn, Estonia - June 13th , 2024 It was organised by the company SHOGenergy and the TalTech Department of Geology, in representation of HERCCULES and CCUS ZEN projects, respectively. The event has started at 9:00 with a welcome coffee followed by two introductive timeslots dedicated to presenting the two projects co-organizing the event, their latest results and upcoming activities. Then, the participants had the opportunity to deepen some crucial themes such as the CO2 capture in Waste-to-Energy plants (A2A and TPI- HERCCULES) together with the future scenarios of the infrastructures for transport and storage (ENI - HERCCULES). Key presentations included the techno-economic modelling of the Baltic CCUS Scenario (Rambol-CCUS ZEN) and the analysis of the value chain scenarios in the Baltic and Mediterranean Regions (TalTech-CCUS ZEN). The last session of the event was dedicated to the regulations, public acceptance and policies issues (IOM LAW- CCUS ZEN; Fraunhofer ISI - HERCCULES), with a panel discussion involving HERCCULES and CCUS ZEN experts, networking partners and local stakeholders. The panel discussion has covered a full range of CCUS issues presented during the day. The event has been a hub for stakeholders, policymakers, industry representatives, and researchers to engage in a constructive dialogue on key issues in the field.
