Gases de efeito estufa e a justiça climática no Brasil

Abstract

Este estudo explora a relação entre a emissão de gases de efeito estufa e a justiça climática no Brasil, destacando os impactos desiguais das mudanças climáticas sobre diferentes populações. A justiça climática, um conceito derivado da justiça ambiental, busca mitigar os efeitos adversos das mudanças climáticas, principalmente sobre as comunidades mais vulneráveis. O trabalho analisa a evolução das políticas climáticas internacionais e sua implementação no Brasil, enfatizando o papel fundamental da Amazônia na regulação do clima global. Utilizando uma abordagem qualitativa e descritiva, a pesquisa examina dados empíricos e legislativos, incluindo relatórios do IPCC e ações judiciais recentes, para ilustrar como as políticas de mitigação e adaptação são aplicadas. Conclui-se que, apesar dos esforços internacionais e nacionais, o Brasil enfrenta desafios significativos para reduzir suas emissões de gases de efeito estufa e proteger as populações vulneráveis. A efetivação da justiça climática requer ações coordenadas para limitar o aumento da temperatura global, combater o desmatamento e promover a inclusão das comunidades afetadas nas decisões políticas.
