
This article explores optimal strategies in urban development with a focus on the role of the Business Identification Number (NIB) in the context of Online Single Submission (OSS) and Regional Regulation no. 5 of 2021 in Semarang City. We analyze the interconnection between NIB, OSS, and regional regulations to understand their impact on spatial planning and location permits in the context of urban development. This article identifies the challenges of NIB implementation and explains how optimizing coordination between OSS and regional regulations can stimulate sustainable urban development. By presenting prospects and solutions that can be adopted, this article contributes to further understanding of the key role of NIB in optimizing urban development in Semarang City.
