UAV AgroTwin Vineyard Dataset 2024

Abstract

Each survey was composed of 2 flights, one with the camera positioned orthogonal to the drone (i.e. nadir mode) and the other with the camera positioned at 30 degree to the horizon (inclined mode), both at an altitude of 30 meters above ground level and with 85% front and side image overlaps. The data was collected in Cesa, a region in Tuscany, Italy. The dataset comprises the following data: "UAV RGB Images": This folder contains multiple subfolders, each holding a collection of RGB images in a specific phenological phase collected with different camera angle (Nadir and 30 degree). The image where collected using the DJI Phantom 3 Professional. The images are encoded in the JPG format (.jpg). The image metadata includes location information, camera settings, and capture dates. "Pointclouds": The "Pointclouds" folder contains multiple point cloud data generated from RGB images using Pix4D Mapper. We reconstructed a point cloud for each type of flight (30 degrees, Nadir and Nadir+30 degrees). The point cloud data is created with high resolution and is saved in the plyformat (.ply).
