With the FOKUS exhibition Architecture with Klee: From Mies van der Rohe to Lisbeth Sachs, on display at the Zentrum Paul Klee from June 1 to October 13, 2024, we conclude a research project conducted by Osamu Okuda. During the research, a wealth of source materials was collected, documenting Paul Klee’s thought and work. Some architects not only owned works by Klee but also engaged deeply with his writings and visual thinking. Since it is not possible to display the full breadth of documents in an exhibition, Osamu Okuda has compiled materials for this edition that highlight the key connections between Paul Klee and the architects Lisbeth Sachs (19142002), Aldo van Eyck (1918–1999), and Aldo Rossi (1931–1997). With this compilation, we aim to encourage further research and hope to gain additional insights soon.
