Figure 2 describes a sequence diagram using QUIC VS TLS handshake protocol. The right side of Figure 2 shows the seven steps of calls and returns until a HTTP Get() method is successfully implemented using a TLS handshake. In contrast, on the left side of Figure 2, we see the implementation of HTTP Get() method using a single call of QUIC handshake. Firefox is a completely open source browser with a tremendous community support. The latest version of Firefox supports TLS 1.3 protocol in an experimental stage. The primary purpose of this study was integrating the QUIC protocol in the Firefox web browser. The source code of this software product is as large as 650MB.
