Abstract

This article describes the socio-economic and political situation of the Fergana Valley in the early Middle Ages. In addition, information about the lifestyle, activities, and city life of the inhabitants of the valley is provided. Attention is paid to the special place of the Fergana Valley on the Great Silk Road.
