Tamizaje rápido de habilidades lectoras en aula a través de los libros decodificables

Abstract

El monitoreo de habilidades lectoras en aula es importante para ajustar la práctica docente. No obstante, el tamizaje puede tomar mucho tiempo y recursos que podrían ser dedicados a la instrucción. El propósito de este trabajo es mostrar cómo los docentes del proyecto USAID. Leer utilizaron los libros decodificables –textos creados para la práctica lectora categorizados en seis etapas de dificultad progresiva– con el fin de categorizar a sus estudiantes de segundo grado según su proceso de aprendizaje. Se encontró que el 73.18 % de los estudiantes puntúa por debajo de lo esperado para segundo grado. Los resultados se interpretan en el marco del regreso a la presencialidad después del confinamiento por COVID-19. Esta estrategia innovadora se utilizará en la formación de formadores por ser rápida, ágil, costo-efectiva para el diagnóstico interno de los estudiantes y, de esa forma, tomar decisiones basadas en la evidencia desde el aula y no únicamente con evaluaciones externas.
