Critical infrastructure refers to the essential systems, assets, and networks crucial for the functioning of a society, economy, and government. Protecting these infrastructures from diverse threats, including cyberattacks, natural disasters, and human-induced incidents, is paramount. This paper examines the importance of safeguarding critical infrastructure, the prevalent threats it faces, and the best practices for implementing cybersecurity measures. Additionally, it reviews the initiatives taken by the Indian government and State authorities in securing critical infrastructure.
