
In this study, drought tolerance of wheat plant varieties grown in the conditions of Samarkand region was studied. It was found that all studied wheat varieties differ from each other in terms of the total amount of water in their leaves. The water deficit in the leaves of wheat varieties was also seen to change depending on the characteristics of the variety. The water deficit in the leaves of the Andijan-1 variety was the highest, while it was the opposite in the Tanya variety, i.e. 6.8% in Andijon-1. water deficit 2.5% water deficit in Tanya wheat variety, other varieties are in intermediate positions
