Abstract: Thyroiditis is an acute, subacute, chronic, autoimmune inflammatory lesion of the thyroid gland. It manifests itself as a feeling of pressure, pain in the neck, difficulty swallowing, and increased voice volume. An abscess can form during acute inflammation.
